    Some Things Never Change

    by TerryLema January 1, 2024

The New Year 2024 is here. The old year has bowed to its successor. Some things will change, some things will remain the same.

In many places new laws and regulations will take effect on this first day of 2024. One thing that will remain the same in 2024 is the Goodness of God.

As the year 2023 drew to a close, I was sitting in my recliner listening to music when “The Goodness of God” came up in my list. As I listened to the words, I felt the Holy Spirit whisper to my soul and spirit, “Some things never change.”

“I love You, Lord / Oh Your mercy never fails me / All my days / I’ve been held in Your hands. From the moment that I wake up / Until I lay my head / Oh I will sing of the goodness of God

“I love Your voice / You have led me through the fire. In the darkest night / You are close like no other. I’ve known You as a Father / I’ve known You as a friend. I have lived in the goodness of God.

“And all my life You have been faithful, All my life You have been so so good. With every breath that I am able / Oh I will sing of the goodness of God.”  [Jenn Johnson, Bethel Music]

“His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” [2 Peter 1:3 HCSB]

Thank God, some things never change.
