Let the Redeemed of the LORD Say So! (Day 5 Provision)

by TerryLema

Every night when I go to bed, I pray Psalm 23. I commit that day and the night ahead to the loving protection of my Lord and Savior.

The psalm begins with those familiar words, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” [Psalm 23:1 NKJV]

The NIV translates it as “I lack nothing,” and the NLT as “I have all I need.”

If I look at my life from a worldly perspective, I want, lack, and need a lot of things. I “want” someone to put up our Christmas lights, I “lack” energy, and I “need” cheaper Medicare Premiums.

If I look at my life from an eternal perspective instead, everything changes. When I surrendered to Christ Jesus 52 years ago, He met my deepest and most profound wants, lacks and needs. I am at peace with my Creator. He has given me Precious Promises that rest securely on His Immutable Nature. (And He’s given them to you too!)

I am a child of God. I AM a child of God. I am a CHILD of God. I am a child of GOD. I AM A CHILD OF GOD!

Having that, what else could I want or need. Nothing is missing in my secure life in Him. Thank you LORD Jesus! Amen & Amen
