I am spending the days leading up to Thanksgiving obeying the command in Psalm 107:2 – “Let the Redeemed of the LORD Say So!”
I have so much for which to be thankful. I cannot think of a better place to begin than with God’s grace. “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” [Ephesians 2:8 NLT]
This is where it began with me, perhaps with you also. I would go on to know more about God’s love, and faithfulness, and peace, and other blessings as I walked with Him, but in the beginning it was all about grace. Maybe it still is all about grace.
I know my soul weeps with joy just thinking about this marvelous gift of God – a gift I did nothing to earn and in no way deserved. Yet, He gave it. In Abundance.
I came out of a denomination that had me believing that Jesus made the down payment on my salvation, but I had to keep up the installments – and there were consequences if I was unable to do so. Then I found out – I am saved solely by God’s grace – and I can take no credit for this amazing gift. What freedom that brought to my soul.
Thank you LORD for Your Amazing Grace that set my soul free! Amen & Amen
