King of My Heart (Bethel Music)

by TerryLema

I love the new music that I am hearing in church now. At the same time, I have been reading Facebook posts about the doctrine in them is not as good as the doctrine in the old hymns (which I do love also!). But as I listen to some of the modern music, I cannot help but find some pretty good doctrine in it also!

One of my favorite songs is “King of My Heart.” (Bethel Music)

Let the King of my heart be the mountain where I run

Psalm 18:2: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

(Let the King of my heart be) The fountain I drink from

Psalm 36:8-9: “They are filled from the abundance of Your house; You let them drink from Your refreshing stream, for with You is life’s fountain.”

Let the King of my heart Be the shadow where I hide

Psalm 91:1: “The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.”

(Let the King of my heart be) The ransom for my life

Matthew 20:28: “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.”

Oh, He is my song!

Psalm 9:2: “I will rejoice and boast about You; I will sing about Your name, Most High.”

Oh, yes, I will rejoice for You LORD GOD are my song!
