It is a proven fact that if you “click” on something online, ads for that will begin to show up no matter where you go on the internet. If you don’t believe me, just google something silly … socks, or water bottles, or color books, or … and watch what appears over the next few days.
I made the mistake of opening an article on my electronic news page a couple days ago about aging. It was titled “19 Harsh Realities of Aging.”
Since then, more and more articles on aging have appeared, some on my news page and some on Facebook. Not that I don’t appreciate being informed about aging, but it can be a bit discouraging when you find yourself described in every article! (Oh, and by the way, I scored 16 out of 19 Harsh Realities of Aging!)
I was shocked also when I decided to look something up to be given the “option” of using an AI (Artificial Intelligence) search engine! The Internet is getting scary.
I have found that the only way to get rid of those repeating articles is to “click” on something else. So, this has turned into a game to see if I can find something different to repeat on my news and Facebook page.
Low and behold I found it this morning! An article appeared titled, “11 Bible Verses Every Christian Should Know by Heart.” I clicked on it. Now I can hardly wait to see what appears tomorrow!
In the meantime, there’s one verse that always comforts and challenges me. Read it today and think about it. Tomorrow I will share the two things that really intrigue me about this verse.
“For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.” [Hebrews 4:12 HCSB]
