If you have a chance this wonderful Monday morning, open your Bibles to 1John 4 and read that little chapter of love and victory.
It starts off with a reminder that in this world we will face opposition and difficulties. There are false spirits and false prophets plentiful in the world. We need to test what we hear from them, aligning what they preach with the Word of God and rejecting anything that does not agree with it. We need to make sure we are following true disciples of Christ Jesus.
Then comes that marvelous promise in verse 4. “You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” [HCSB]
That is one great Monday-morning Promise! We are God’s children … that lifted me out of my Monday-morning doldrums. I Am A Child of God! Hallelujah!
Not only am I a child of God, I am a victorious child of God! How can that be when I feel so weak at times, so insignificant, so unimportant in the grand scheme of things?
I Am A Victorious Child of God because the One who is in me is far greater than the one who is in this world. My Jesus, through the power of His Holy Spirit abides in me. He has promised to never leave me. He has promised to never forsake me. He has promised that He and the Father are both with me. So, I can say with great confidence and determination …
I-Am-A-Victorious-Child-of-God! Greater is my Jesus in me than any false prophet, principality, power, might or dominion that comes against me in this world!
