The other morning, I was in that “twilight” sleep, half awake and half asleep. I didn’t have the best night of sleep – but then I seldom sleep well. My body gets achy, or my muscles start to cramp, and I need to move. But this morning, my body felt pretty good. I was snuggled down in the warm blanket and just enjoying those last few moments before I needed to get up.
Resting there I heard a verse of Scripture. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” [James 1:5 NIV]
That is not that unusual, I often wake thinking of a verse of Scripture or singing a praise song. It didn’t get weird until a few minutes later.
My first action when I wake up is to check my blood glucose on my continuous monitor by my bed. My second is to wake up my phone and read the daily verse on my Bible app. It was James 1:5 … “If any of you lacks wisdom ….”
Now that was weird! Knowing my daily verse before I read it! I think God is trying to tell me that I am going to need His wisdom for something soon! Now I just wonder what for – and pray I am ready! Amen&Amen
